Tasting notes

Deep ruby. Aromas of ripe plum, black cherry, cocoa and vanilla. The palate is full and soft, with round tannins, juicy dark fruit and a smooth, gently oaky finish.

Grand Selection is the Levent winery's series made from selected vineyard plots. Levent is based in Ruse, on the Danube in northern Bulgaria.

Merlot in this style is full and soft: ripe plum, black cherry, cocoa and vanilla from oak, with round tannins that make it approachable straight away, without needing years in the cellar. A generous, crowd-pleasing red.

Serve at 16–18 °C with veal, pasta with meat sauce or aged hard cheeses.
