Tasting notes

Pale gold with fine, persistent bubbles. The nose shows roasted chestnut, buckwheat, nuts, honey, nougat and ripe pear, with hints of iodine and dried flowers. The palate is energetic and precise, with lively acidity and a slightly bitter finish of white grapefruit.

About this wine

Founded in Épernay in 1743, Moët & Chandon creates "Grand Vintage" only in selected years, with each release expressing the character of a single harvest.

The 2013 edition aged seven years in the cellars and at least six more months after disgorgement, with a low dosage of 5 g/l. Chardonnay leads the blend (41%), while Pinot Noir (38%) and Pinot Meunier (21%) add structure and depth.

The bottle comes in its original gift box, making it an elegant present for a special occasion or for a lover of mature, vintage Champagne.
