Tasting notes

Pale straw. An intense, elegant nose of peach and citrus with a light hint of nutmeg. Dry and fresh on the palate, with ripe fruit, a touch of orange peel and a fine balance between softness and structure.

About this wine

The Italo Cescon family winery in Roncadelle di Ormelle, in the province of Treviso, has been making wine since 1957. Its Pinot Grigio comes from vineyards on gravelly alluvial soils, and the grapes are picked by hand at the end of August.

Fermentation runs slowly at 13 °C to preserve the freshness and aromatics of the variety, followed by five to six months on the lees and three months in bottle. The result is a dry, fresh Pinot Grigio with a lovely balance between softness and structure.
