Tasting notes

Pale gold with a fine, persistent mousse. The nose recalls puff pastry, meringue and white flowers, with a fresh citrus note. The palate is full and rich yet restrained, finishing with dried peach and hazelnut.

About this wine

Pol Roger is a family Champagne house founded in 1849 and now run by the sixth generation in Épernay. Cellars 33 metres deep, fermentation only in stainless steel and hand riddling give its wines precision and finesse.

The 2013 Blanc de Blancs is made entirely from Chardonnay grown in the grand cru villages of the Côte des Blancs – Oiry, Chouilly, Cramant, Avize and Oger.

It spends six years ageing in the house's cellars before release and has 12% alcohol, offering a rich yet restrained expression of vintage Chardonnay Champagne.
