Tasting notes

Deep ruby-garnet. Aromas of blackberry, plum, cedar, black pepper and spice. Full-bodied and structured, with fresh acidity, firm but polished tannins and a long, peppery finish.

About this wine

Rubin is a Bulgarian grape created by crossing Nebbiolo and Syrah, which explains its acidity and black pepper character. Dragomir is a small winery near Plovdiv founded by two oenologists.

Reserve means longer ageing in oak. The 2017 is now mature, with blackberry, plum, cedar and spice, a firm structure and a long finish. One of the best expressions of this native variety.

Serve at 16–18 °C with roast lamb, game or aged cheeses.
