Tasting notes

Deep, inky ruby. Black cherry, blackberry and plum with spicy oak. Full and juicy on the palate, with firm tannins and a warm, spicy finish.

About this wine

Star Bull is Magura's Rubin – the Bulgarian crossing of Nebbiolo and Syrah – from the winery founded in 1967 in Rabisha, north-west Bulgaria.

Since 2006 Magura has been fully modernised; its wines age in French, Bulgarian and American oak to express the Rabisha terroir. Serve at 16–18 °C with grilled meat, stews or hard cheeses.
