Tasting notes

Pale gold with fine, lively bubbles. The nose offers fresh pear, white peach and citrus with hints of almond and toasted brioche. The palate is round and harmonious, with ripe fruit, a creamy mousse and a fresh, delicately persistent finish.

About this wine

Ruinart is the oldest established Champagne house, founded in Reims in 1729 by Nicolas Ruinart. Its wines mature in the house's chalk crayères, ancient Gallo-Roman quarries dug deep beneath the city and part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Champagne hillsides, houses and cellars.

"R" de Ruinart is the house's classic Brut, a blend in which Chardonnay, the signature grape of Ruinart, accounts for around 40%, completed by Pinot Noir and a little Meunier. A generous share of reserve wines from previous harvests gives roundness and consistency.

Fresh, fruity and harmonious, it is an elegant introduction to the Ruinart style.
