Tasting notes

Bright golden colour. The nose combines white flowers, citrus and mineral notes. The palate is full but soft, with a mineral tension, good balance and a long, clean finish.

About this wine

The Burgundy family house Albert Bichot, handed down from father to son since 1831, makes this white wine in Saint-Romain, a village in the Côte de Beaune with vineyards at 280 to 400 metres on brown limestone and marl soils.

Thanks to the altitude the grapes ripen a little later, which preserves the freshness and mineral character of the Chardonnay. The wine is fermented in oak barrels, 15 to 20% of them new, and aged for 14 to 15 months on fine lees.

The 2018 is full yet supple, a well-balanced white Burgundy with precision and length.
