Tasting notes

Pale straw yellow with green glints and fine bubbles. Pear, apple and intense lemon peel on the nose, with a light mineral note. Round and structured on the palate, with lively freshness and a mineral edge.

About this wine

Steinbock Riesling Zero is an alcohol-free sparkling Riesling from Weingut Dr. Fischer, the historic estate on the Saar, in Germany's Mosel area, owned since 2014 by the Hofstätter family of Alto Adige.

It starts as a Kabinett-style Riesling from slate soils. The alcohol is then removed physically, under reduced pressure at about 25–30 °C, to keep the aromas and freshness of the grape, and the wine keeps a slight residual sweetness.
