Tasting notes

Straw yellow. The nose is fresh and fragrant, with white fruit, citrus peel and delicate notes of wild flowers. The palate is fruity and clearly fresh, with a pleasant saline streak and a clean, lively finish.

About this wine

Anthilia is one of the emblematic whites of Donnafugata, the Sicilian winery whose main estate lies at Contessa Entellina in the south-west of the island. The vineyards sit on hills between 200 and 600 metres above sea level, on clay soils rich in limestone.

The blend is built on Lucido, the local name for Catarratto, complemented by other native and international varieties. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel, followed by at least two months in tank and two more in bottle.

Straw yellow, it is fresh and fragrant with white fruit, citrus peel and delicate wild flowers; the palate is fruity, clearly fresh and pleasantly saline, a sunny Sicilian white for everyday enjoyment.
