Tasting notes

Orange-pink with a fine mousse. The nose is powerful and fruity, with strawberry, raspberry and cherry lifted by peony. The palate shows almond, cinnamon, honey and gentle oak, complex and balanced, with lively acidity and a long, elegant finish.

About this wine

Vilmart & Cie is a fifth-generation family house in Rilly-la-Montagne, on the Montagne de Reims, farming 11 hectares of Premier Cru vineyards on clay with patches of limestone, with vines averaging 35 years.

Emotion is its vintage rosé, a blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, hand-harvested and made without malolactic fermentation. It ages 10 months in large oak casks and then 60 months on its lees in bottle, with a dosage of 8 g/l.

Orange-pink in the glass, it is powerful and fruity, with strawberry, raspberry, cherry and peony leading to almond, cinnamon and honey, a complex and balanced Champagne for the table.
