Tasting notes

Pale straw yellow. The nose is fresh and aromatic, with citrus, freshly cut grass and white flowers. Dry and crisp on the palate, with bright acidity, a light body and a clean, refreshing finish.

About this wine

Tenuta Sallier de La Tour is an estate in the Monreale area, in the Jato valley a few kilometres from Palermo. Since 2008 it has been looked after by the Tasca d'Almerita family at the request of their cousin Filiberto Sallier de La Tour, Prince of Camporeale.

The first Grillo vines were planted here in 2011. Grillo was created at the end of the 19th century as a cross between Catarratto and Moscato d'Alessandria, and it combines lively acidity with floral aromatics.

The wine rests for four months on its lees in stainless steel, without malolactic fermentation, to keep it crisp, dry and easy to enjoy.
