Tasting notes

Ruby to garnet colours. Aromas of red and black fruit such as cherry, plum and blackcurrant, with cedar and spice in the more mature wines. The palates are dry and balanced, from soft and fruity Merlot to more structured blends with firmer tannins and longer finishes.

About this wine

A set of six bottles of dry red Bordeaux, the region synonymous with blends of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. The box includes wines from three estates and different vintages, all in 0.75-litre bottles, for a total of 4.5 litres.

Inside are Château Talmont "Le Secret" 2025, a classic blend; Esprit de Lys 2020, from Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc; and Esprit de Fonrosé 2022, based on Merlot.

Red and black fruit, supple Merlot tannins and more structure in the older vintages make this an ideal introduction to Bordeaux.
