Tasting notes

Deep coral pink. The nose shows fresh cherry, pomegranate, red apple, wild strawberry and raspberry with mineral hints. The palate is juicy and fresh, with a savoury note, lively acidity and a clean, fruity finish.

About this wine

Produttori di Manduria is a cooperative in Manduria, Puglia, officially founded in 1932. It brings together around 400 growers, known as the "masters of Primitivo", with nearly 900 hectares of vineyards, most of them trained as traditional alberello bush vines.

Aka is a rosé made from 100% Primitivo from 20- to 40-year-old vines around Manduria, picked at the end of August. The skins stay in contact with the juice for six to eight hours to give its vivid coral colour, and the wine is fermented and kept in stainless steel.

Juicy, fresh and savoury, it shows a bright, modern side of Primitivo.
