Tasting notes

Intense golden yellow with amber hues. Rose water, pollen, orange peel and lychee on the nose, with cinnamon, nutmeg and star anise. Full, round and fresh on the palate, with a saline note and a long, lightly bitter finish.

About this wine

Franz Haas's Gewürztraminer is an Alto Adige DOC from clay soils in the Adige valley south of Bolzano, where warm days and cool nights build ripe, aromatic grapes.

The grapes are picked fully ripe and gently pressed, the must ferments cool in stainless steel, and the wine then matures about six months on its lees with frequent bâtonnage. This listing is the 2021 vintage.
