Tasting notes

Light yellow with bright glints. Pineapple, green apple, gooseberry, elderflower and wildflower honey on the nose. Fresh, balanced and lively on the palate, with a pleasant mineral finish.

About this wine

Fallwind is San Michele Appiano's Sauvignon from vineyards at about 600 metres, facing south-east on gravel and limestone soils. Its name comes from the local downslope wind that cools the vines and sharpens their aromas.

The grapes are picked by hand at the end of September, and the wine ferments in steel and stays on its lees until the end of the following winter. This listing is the 2022 vintage.
