Tasting notes

Pale, luminous pink with onion-skin highlights. The nose offers strawberry and raspberry lifted by light floral and Mediterranean herb nuances. The palate is fine and balanced, fresh and distinctly saline, with pleasant length and a harmonious, gently fruity close.

About this wine

The Mancini family has been growing vines in Gallura, in the granite north-east of Sardinia, for generations, and has bottled under its own label from the winery near Olbia since 1989.

Auralis is a rosé drawn from local red varieties but handled as if it were a white: direct pressing, with no extended contact between juice and skins. That choice keeps the colour pale and the aromatics delicate, and it preserves the bright acidity and saline edge that the island's granite soils and sea winds give the fruit. The result is a light, immediate Mediterranean rosé meant to be drunk young and well chilled.
