Tasting notes

Ruby red, bright at the rim. The nose leads with small red fruits, cherry and raspberry, over a light note of sweet spice and violet. The palate is round and generous, the tannins dense but well polished, and a clear thread of freshness carries the fruit through a clean, medium-long finish.

About this wine

Baiamore Rosso di Rossi is Firriato's red blend, made at the Baglio Sorìa estate in the countryside outside Trapani, in western Sicily. The vines grow on hills at around 200 metres, on clay soils streaked with red marl and facing south.

Frappato brings perfume and lift, Merlot flesh, Syrah spice and structure. The grapes are picked by hand in September and fermented in stainless steel, after which the wine spends six months in French oak barriques before bottling.
