Tasting notes

Pale gold with green glints and a very fine bead. Brioche, fresh butter, white flowers and mineral tones on the nose. The palate is creamy and chalky, with almond, lemon and citrus zest, and a lightly saline finish.

About this wine

Billecart-Salmon is a family Champagne house founded in 1818 in Mareuil-sur-Aÿ by Nicolas François Billecart and Elisabeth Salmon, and still led by the seventh generation of the family.

Its Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru is made entirely from Chardonnay grown in four grand cru villages of the Côte des Blancs: Avize, Chouilly, Cramant and Le Mesnil-sur-Oger. Fermented in stainless steel and blended with 20 to 50% reserve wines, it then ages for four to five years on the lees.

Chalky, precise and creamy, it is a pure expression of grand cru Chardonnay and the house's elegant style.
