Tasting notes

Pale gold with green reflections. Fresh aromas of citrus and white flowers gradually open to notes of honey and dried fruit. The palate is balanced, combining liveliness with a pleasant roundness from lees ageing, and finishes clean and gently mineral.

About this wine

This Chardonnay comes from Maison Albert Bichot, the historic wine house based in Beaune, in the heart of Burgundy.

The grapes are sourced from a mosaic of old-vine plots on clay-limestone soils, with different exposures and altitudes, and are picked by hand to preserve the freshness and pure fruit of the variety. The wine is aged for 9 to 11 months on fine lees, 80% in stainless steel and 20% in oak barrels.

The result is a balanced, vibrant white Burgundy with a gentle roundness, an excellent introduction to the house style.
