Tasting notes

Straw yellow with a fine, slow bead and persistent mousse. A fresh nose of flowers and orchard fruit with light biscuit notes. The palate is delicate and lively, with apple, crisp pear and a springlike freshness on the finish.

About this wine

Billecart-Salmon was founded in 1818 in Mareuil-sur-Aÿ by Nicolas François Billecart and Elisabeth Salmon, whose brother Louis Salmon devoted himself to making the wines.

The Brut Réserve is the house's classic non-vintage blend of Pinot Meunier, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from the Montagne de Reims, the Marne Valley and the southern slopes of Épernay, with 50 to 60% reserve wines. It is fermented in stainless steel and aged for 30 months on the lees.

In jeroboam, the wine can continue to mature for four to eight years, a spectacular bottle for large celebrations.
