Tasting notes

Bright golden yellow. Fresh notes of citrus and exotic fruit with honey, acacia and white flowers. The palate is silky and balanced, sweet yet lively, with a clean, vibrant finish.

About this wine

Carmes de Rieussec is the second wine of Château Rieussec, an 85-hectare estate in the heart of Sauternes, neighbouring Château d'Yquem, and part of Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite) since 1984. It takes its name from the Carmelite monks of Langon who owned the estate in the 18th century.

Based on Sémillon with Sauvignon Blanc and Muscadelle, it is made from botrytised grapes and aged for 18 months in barrel.

Fresh and pure in style, it is designed to be enjoyed young and well chilled, and this half bottle is the perfect size for sharing a sweet finale.
