Tasting notes

Pale straw with green reflections. A delicate, elegant nose of apple, banana and bread crust. The palate is fresh and savoury, with ripe fruit and a lively, clean texture, closing on an aromatic finish.

About this wine

Italo Cescon is a family winery in Roncadelle di Ormelle, in the province of Treviso, on the plain along the Piave river, making wine since 1957. This Chardonnay comes from vineyards in Fagarè, Valonto and Fontanelle, planted on clay-rich alluvial soils along the river banks.

The wine sees no oak at all: it rests about four months on its fine lees in stainless steel, followed by three months in bottle. The result is a fresh, savoury and elegant white that shows the pure fruit of the variety.
