Tasting notes

Pale straw with golden-green reflections. Aromas of orange peel, oleander and ripe prickly pear. The palate is powerful and enveloping, with marked minerality, ripe Mediterranean fruit and a long, savoury finish.

About this wine

Mandrarossa was founded in 1999 after more than twenty years of terroir research and is the premium brand of Cantine Settesoli in Menfi, south-western Sicily. This Chardonnay comes from south-facing limestone soils at 150 to 350 metres above sea level.

The 2019 is made entirely in stainless steel, where it rests four months without any oak, preserving the vibrant fruit and minerality of the site. Powerful yet fresh, it has been recognised with gold medals.
