Tasting notes

Bright gold. Flowers, brioche and candied citrus on the nose, evolving towards spice and roasted hazelnut. The palate is full, elegant and balanced, with a long floral finish and a light hint of gingerbread. The oak is well integrated and supports rather than masks the fruit, with lovely persistence.

About this wine

Maison Albert Bichot is a Burgundy house producing wines from many of the region's most prestigious appellations. This white Chassagne-Montrachet is a village wine from the Côte de Beaune, where the vines grow on clay and marl over hard limestone.

The Chardonnay is harvested by hand and fermented in oak barrels, then aged for 14 to 16 months on fine lees in barrels of which 20 to 30 percent are new. This patient élevage gives the wine richness without losing its elegance.

A classic, refined white Burgundy from the 2022 vintage.
