Tasting notes

Garnet with violet reflections. Aromas of ripe cherry, liquorice and toasty notes. Silky, finely chiselled tannins carry red fruit, dark chocolate and dried flowers, closing on a juicy finish with minty freshness.

About this wine

Château Clerc Milon, a Fifth Growth in the 1855 classification, lies in the hamlet of Pouyalet in Pauillac, mostly on the Mousset hillock overlooking the Gironde. The 41-hectare estate was acquired in 1970 by Baron Philippe de Rothschild.

The 2015 comes from a very dry year, with harvest between 17 September and 6 October. It blends 51% Cabernet Sauvignon, 34% Merlot, 13% Cabernet Franc, 1% Petit Verdot and 1% Carmenère, aged 18 months in French oak barrels, 55% of them new.
