Tasting notes

Pale straw yellow with green glints. The nose is fresh and inviting, with lemon, grapefruit, white peach and white flowers over a hint of fennel and sea breeze. The palate is light and crisp, with lively acidity, a saline touch and a clean, refreshing finish of citrus and white fruit.

About this wine

Château des Bormettes is a historic family estate in La Londe-les-Maures, at the foot of Mont Saint-Martin in Provence, a few kilometres from the Mediterranean. Its 72 hectares of vines form a single block surrounded by 150 hectares of maquis and woodland, and the estate is certified HVE level 3 for its environmental practices.

Vines have been grown here since Gallo-Roman times; the château itself was built for the painter Horace Vernet, and the estate takes its name from the old silver and lead mines of L'Argentière.

Côte & Mer is the estate's fresh Provence white, vinified in stainless steel to keep its citrus and white-flower aromas, made for the sea-facing cuisine of the region.
