Tasting notes

Bright ruby red. The nose offers red fruit such as cherry and blackcurrant with spicy, earthy nuances. The palate is elegant and fresh, with silky tannins, fine acidity and a long, spicy finish typical of old-vine Gevrey.

About this wine

Domaine Rossignol-Trapet was born from the union of two Gevrey-Chambertin families at the end of the 19th century and today owns vineyards including Grand Cru and Premier Cru sites on the clay and limestone soils of the Côte de Nuits. The estate has been farmed biodynamically since 2004.

This Vieilles Vignes comes from Pinot Noir vines 40 to 85 years old, harvested by hand and vinified plot by plot, followed by malolactic fermentation.

The 2021 is elegant and ruby-red, with blackcurrant, cherry and spice, and the depth to age for 10 to 15 years.
