Tasting notes

Light ruby red. Aromatic fruity and floral notes of red cherry, raspberry and violet lead the nose. The palate is full yet elegant, with juicy fruit, gentle tannins and a fresh, slightly smoky finish.

About this wine

Pietradolce is the Faro family estate in Solicchiata, near Castiglione di Sicilia, on the northern slope of Mount Etna, with vineyards in the contrade Rampante, Zottorinoto, Santo Spirito and Feudo di Mezzo at 650-950 metres.

This Etna Rosso is made from Nerello Mascalese bush vines grown at 700-800 metres on sandy soils rich in volcanic stones. After maceration and gentle pressing, it spends just three months in fine, lightly toasted oak, which keeps the fruit bright.

It is the estate's introduction to Etna: aromatic, elegant and easy to enjoy.
