Tasting notes

Intense, bright ruby red. The nose offers wild blackberry, black cherry, liquorice and hints of undergrowth. The palate is balanced and juicy, with ripe dark fruit, supple tannins and a fresh finish with a subtle balsamic note.

About this wine

Feudi di San Gregorio was founded in 1986 in Sorbo Serpico, in the green hills of Irpinia, and has become one of Campania's reference wineries, dedicated to the region's ancient native grapes.

Rubrato is its fresh, approachable expression of Aglianico, the great red grape of southern Italy. Made from 100% Aglianico grown in Irpinia, it is aged for about eight to ten months in stainless steel, without oak, to keep the fruit vivid, then rests at least six months in bottle before release.

A juicy, generous red that shows the wild-berry and liquorice character of Aglianico in an easy-drinking style.
