Tasting notes

Pale straw yellow with greenish highlights. The nose is fine, fresh and elegant, with white flowers, green apple and a touch of citrus. The palate is delicate and dry, with gentle acidity, a light body and the typical bitter-almond note of Cortese on a clean, refreshing finish.

About this wine

La Scolca is a family winery in Gavi, Piedmont, that has worked with the Cortese grape for four generations and did more than anyone to put this appellation on the map. Gavi "Etichetta Bianca" comes from the estate's younger vineyards in the heart of Rovereto, the area the family calls the grand cru of Gavi.

The wine is 100% Cortese, vinified in the traditional way in stainless steel at controlled temperature to preserve the grape's delicate aromas and crisp acidity. It is bottled young and released as a Gavi DOCG.

Fresh, dry and unpretentious, Etichetta Bianca is the everyday face of La Scolca: a versatile white for aperitivo and light meals.
