Tasting notes

Pale straw yellow. The nose is fine and fresh, with almond and Mediterranean herbs. The palate is delicate and dry yet with good body and length, showing peach, mango, green apple, citrus and pear before a clean finish. Bright acidity keeps it light and very drinkable.

About this wine

La Scolca is a family estate in Gavi, in south-eastern Piedmont, where four generations have devoted themselves to the Cortese grape and helped build the reputation of the appellation. Gavi "Il Valentino" is the entry point to the estate's range.

It is made from the youngest vineyards of La Scolca on the hills of Gavi and the neighbouring villages, with a traditional vinification at controlled temperature that keeps the fruit crisp and precise.

Light, fresh and easy to match with food, it is an honest, everyday expression of Cortese.
