Tasting notes

Very pale pink with a brilliant shine. The nose reveals ripe apricot, white peach, delicate flowers and rose petals, lifted by a touch of green pepper spice. The palate is elegant and layered, with apricot and rose notes, a subtle hint of tobacco and a long, refined finish.

About this wine

Clos du Temple is the flagship rosé of Gérard Bertrand, grown on a single site at Cabrières in the Languedoc, a terroir with a distinctive geological character. The vineyard is farmed organically, and biodynamic practices are applied on eight of the producer's estates. The blend unites Grenache, Cinsault, Syrah, Mourvèdre and Viognier in equal parts.

The grapes are picked by hand into small crates at dawn to profit from the cool night temperatures, each plot at its ideal moment, and vinified separately. Only the finest juices are selected, fermented at low temperature and aged for six months on fine lees in carefully chosen new barrels.

The Drinks Business Global Rosé Masters named it the best rosé in the world in 2020.
