Tasting notes

Pale gold. Aromas of ripe lemon, yellow apple, white peach and wet stone with a hint of hazelnut. The palate is fuller than village Chablis, with bright acidity, chalky texture and a long, mineral finish. Serve chilled but not ice-cold, so the aromas and the texture can fully open in the glass.

About this wine

The Droin family has grown vines in Chablis since 1620, and Benoît Droin, the 14th generation, took full charge of the estate in 2014 after his father Jean-Paul. Around 26 hectares spread on both banks of the Serein river, from Petit Chablis to Grand Cru.

Mont de Milieu is one of the estate's nine Premier Cru climats, on the right bank of the Serein, with vines around 50 years old. The grapes are pressed gently, fermented with native yeasts and raised for 8-10 months in stainless steel, giving a Chablis of depth and tension.
