Tasting notes

Deep straw yellow. The nose joins the elegance of Sauvignon Blanc with the fruitiness of Picolit: green notes, wildflowers and white-fleshed peach. The palate is fresh and flavourful, with citrus, peach and grassy hints, closing clean and aromatic.

About this wine

Eclisse is La Roncaia's white blend from the hills of north-eastern Friuli, where the estate works vineyards around Ramandolo, Nimis, Attimis and Tarcento. It unites Sauvignon Blanc with Picolit, one of the region's rare native varieties.

Each grape is fermented separately, partly in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks and partly in oak barrels, before the components are blended. Steel preserves the varietal freshness while wood adds texture and depth.

The 2024 vintage offers an aromatic, polished white that marries the vivid green character of Sauvignon with the soft fruit of Picolit, an ideal partner for seafood.
