Tasting notes

Brilliant straw yellow with a soft mousse and fine, persistent perlage. The nose shows white flowers, dandelion and bread crust. The palate is enveloping, with Durella's lively acidity balanced by a soft structure and an impressively fresh finish.

About this wine

Canoso is a winery in Monteforte d'Alpone, in the Soave Classico area of Veneto, that selects its grapes by hand. Lento is its traditional-method sparkling wine made from Durella, a local grape grown on basaltic volcanic soils and known for its vibrant natural acidity.

The name, Italian for "slow", recalls the long time the wine spends on its yeasts: 60 months on the lees, followed by at least five months in bottle after disgorgement.

The result is an Extra Brut of striking freshness and depth, with a soft, enveloping texture.
