Tasting notes

Bright white-gold colour. A floral, precise nose of white fruit, pear, citrus and boxwood blossom with a hint of flint. The palate is lively, fruity and long, with fresh acidity and a clean mineral finish.

About this wine

Château de Roquefort lies in Roquefort-la-Bédoule, near Cassis, in Provence. Les Genêts is a white wine from a single parcel of the same name, planted with Vermentino, known locally as Rolle, in 1989.

The grapes spend a few hours on their skins in the cold before a gentle pressing, and malolactic fermentation is blocked to preserve freshness. The wine is then raised in concrete vats. The 2020 is lively, fruity and long, a precise expression of Mediterranean white wine.
