Tasting notes

Bright straw yellow with green hints. Aromas of yellow peach, acacia, citrus peel and herbs, developing mineral and saline tones over time. Fresh acidity meets a soft, rounded palate, leading to a long, savoury finish.

About this wine

Madre is the most personal wine of the Italo Cescon family winery in Roncadelle di Ormelle, Treviso. It comes from the Manzoni vineyard on the Fagarè and San Polo di Piave estates, the very place where founder Italo was born. The grapes are organically farmed and picked by hand in early September.

Made from 100% Manzoni Bianco, it ferments in concrete and finishes in wood, resting on its own lees until March, then spends at least a year in bottle before release. It is a white of character with real ageing potential.
