Tasting notes

Light golden colour. The nose shows dried fruit and white flowers with exotic and smoky hints. The palate is fresh, with a soft, rounded body, and gains complexity with air: open it about an hour before serving or decant it.

About this wine

Mas de Daumas Gassac was founded in 1970 by Véronique and Aimé Guibert in the Languedoc, near Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert. Their friend Professor Henri Enjalbert, a geologist and viticulture specialist, convinced them that the site could produce wines of Grand Cru quality, and the first vines were planted in 1972.

This white blends Viognier, Chardonnay, Petit Manseng and Chenin Blanc with a share of rare white varieties. After five to seven days of maceration, it is fermented and aged for two to four months in stainless steel to preserve its freshness and aromatic depth.

The estate, whose famous red is often called "the Lafite of the Languedoc", sells its wines in more than 80 countries.
