Tasting notes

Pale salmon pink. Redcurrant, white peach and pink grapefruit on the nose, with a floral, faintly herbal lift. The palate is dry and crisp, with light red-fruit flavour, lively acidity and a clean, slightly saline close. Refreshing and uncomplicated.

About this wine

Moulin de Gassac is the négociant range of Mas de Daumas Gassac, drawing on growers in the limestone hills around Aniane, in the Hérault. Aimé Guibert created it so that the estate's approach could reach an everyday price.

Guilhem Rosé leads with Grenache, completed by Syrah and Carignan. The grapes are picked early to keep acidity, pressed directly and fermented cool in stainless steel, with no oak at any stage.

It is a pale, dry southern rosé built for the table rather than the pool.
