Tasting notes

Bright straw yellow. An expressive nose of apricot, peach and honeysuckle, with a touch of ginger. The palate is round and softly textured, with ripe stone fruit, gentle acidity and a dry, faintly floral finish. Aromatic without being heavy.

About this wine

Moulin de Gassac is the accessible range created by Mas de Daumas Gassac, built on fruit from growers across the Hérault and vinified with the same care the estate gives its own wines.

Viognier ripens readily in the Languedoc heat, so the grapes are picked early and fermented cool in stainless steel, with the lees stirred lightly to add texture. No oak is used, which keeps the aromatics clean.

It is a perfumed, broad white that still finishes dry.
