How to serve it
Tasting notes
Straw yellow. The nose is fruity, fresh and harmonious, with white peach, pear and a touch of wild flowers. The palate is full, soft and generous, balanced by good freshness, and ends with the gently bitter note on the finish that is typical of the Nuragus grape.
About this wine
Selegas is the Argiolas tribute to Nuragus, one of the oldest native white grapes of Sardinia, named after the village near the family's cellars in Serdiana. The variety is grown on calcareous marl soils in the hills of southern Sardinia.
Fermentation lasts around 18 days in temperature-controlled stainless steel at 16-18 °C, after which the wine matures briefly in bottle. The aim is to show the fruity, harmonious character of a grape that was once used mainly for blending.
Straw yellow in the glass, it is fresh and fruity on the nose, full and soft on the palate, with the slightly bitter note on the finish that is typical of Nuragus and keeps it lively with food.
