Tasting notes

Golden with amber reflections. The nose reveals saffron, turmeric and strawberry-tree honey with a balsamic hint of cardamom. The palate is full and enveloping, its sweetness balanced by fresh acidity and saline minerality, closing long and elegant.

About this wine

Canoso works in Monteforte d'Alpone, in the classic Soave zone, where the vines grow on basalt soils of volcanic origin. Passo is the winery's sweet wine, a Recioto di Soave Classico made from Garganega from old vines, whose grapes are dried before pressing.

A slow fermentation is followed by at least 36 months in used barriques and a minimum of four months in bottle, giving the wine remarkable depth.

Rich yet balanced by fresh acidity and saline minerality, it is a rare and characterful dessert wine from Veneto.
