Tasting notes

Deep ruby red. An elegant fruity nose of redcurrant and marasca cherry, with balsamic and tobacco nuances. The palate is intense, fresh and soft, with fine tannins and a lingering finish.

About this wine

This red blend comes from Podere dei Blumeri, the Friuli estate where the Schiopetto family began a new vineyard project in 2000 after a careful analysis of terrain and microclimate. The first vintage was 2001, and the wine belongs to the Mario Schiopetto line.

It unites the roundness of Merlot with the character of Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso, Friuli's authentic native red. Fresh, intense and finely structured, it pairs well with hearty dishes. The magnum is ideal for sharing at the table and for longer cellaring.
