Tasting notes

Deep ruby colour. The nose shows ripe red and dark berries with earthy, gently spiced notes from the old vines. The palate is dense yet refined, with an expressive structure, firm but polished tannins and a long, savoury finish that rewards a few more years in the cellar.

About this wine

Domaine Joseph Voillot is a family estate in Volnay, now in the hands of the sixth generation, farming around 8 hectares across the Côte de Beaune. The grapes are harvested by hand and fermented with wild yeasts, and since 2017 the domaine has held HVE certification for high environmental value.

This Pommard brings together old vines from several plots in the village, planted in 1934, 1946 and 1983. The result is a dense yet refined Pinot Noir with an expressive structure, ready to enjoy now or to cellar for several more years.
