Tasting notes

Deep gold with a fine, creamy mousse. The nose offers ripe red apple, cherry and quince with notes of brioche, toasted hazelnut and subtle oak spice. The palate is powerful yet precise, with vinous depth, fresh acidity and a long, savoury, chalky finish.

About this wine

Chemin du Bois is one of the single-vineyard Champagnes of R. Pouillon & Fils, the family grower house of Mareuil-sur-Aÿ in the Vallée de la Marne, which works its own Premier Cru vines with great care for the soil.

Made from 100% Pinot Noir of the 2018 vintage, the base wine is fermented with indigenous yeasts in oak casks of different ages. It then spends five years ageing on its lees in bottle before release with a low Extra Brut dosage.

A deep, complex and gastronomic Champagne that expresses a single plot and a warm, generous year.
