Tasting notes

Bright salmon pink. Aromas of ripe strawberry, raspberry and juicy peach with a light touch of spice. The palate is dry and fresh, with more body than most rosés thanks to the warm Struma Valley sun, finishing clean and fruity. A rosé with real substance.

About this wine

AplauZ Rosé 2021 belongs to the premium AplauZ range of Villa Melnik, a family winery in the Struma Valley in south-west Bulgaria. This is the warmest wine-growing area in the country, and it gives the rosé noticeably more body and ripeness than its northern counterparts.

The profile is one of strawberry, raspberry and peach with a light touch of spice, resting on a dry, fresh base. It is a rosé with substance: fruit-forward and sunny, yet clean and refreshing on the finish.

Serve very well chilled at 8–10 °C with salads, grilled fish or white meat, or simply as a warm-weather aperitif.
