Tasting notes

Deep and intense, with aromas of ripe soft fruit, plum, cherry jam and sweet spices. The palate is powerful, long and velvety, with saturated fruit, harmonious spice and a fine touch of sweetness on the finish.

About this wine

Doppio Passo – "double step" – is the long-standing cult Primitivo of Casa Vinicola Botter, the family wine house founded in 1928 in Fossalta di Piave. The grapes come from the Salento peninsula, in southern Puglia.

Its double step is the appassimento method: dried grapes and young wine ferment together, giving a concentrated, intensely coloured wine. The 2024 is velvety and soft, full-bodied and intense, with ripe soft fruit and spices, a powerful, long palate and a fine touch of sweetness. It has 13.5% alcohol.

Serve at 16–18 °C with roast meats and cold cuts.
