Tasting notes

Pale straw yellow with green highlights. A varietal, mineral nose with notes of yellow pepper leaf, sage and melon. The palate is fresh, full and long, with lively acidity and a clean, savoury finish that echoes the herbal aromas.

About this wine

The Collavini family has been making wine in Collio, Friuli, since 1896. "Blancfumat" is their Sauvignon Blanc from the Collio DOC, produced with a classic approach to white winemaking.

Fermentation lasts about two weeks in stainless steel at strictly controlled temperatures. The wine then rests on its lees in steel until it reaches full maturity, gaining texture and depth while keeping its varietal freshness.

With around 12.5% alcohol, it is a mineral, expressive Sauvignon that reflects the cool, hilly character of Collio and its long tradition of fine white wines.
