Tasting notes

Light to medium ruby colour. The nose offers raspberry, blackberry and a gentle spiciness. The palate is soft and rounded, with delicate structure, good balance and a fine, fruity finish.

About this wine

Albert Bichot is a Burgundy family house run from father to son since 1831. Savigny-lès-Beaune is a village in the Côte de Beaune, just north of Beaune, whose gravelly clay-limestone soils give elegant, approachable Pinot Noir.

The grapes are hand-harvested, sorted at the winery and fermented for 18 to 21 days in temperature-controlled wooden conical vats. The wine then ages for 14 to 16 months in oak barrels, 20 to 30% of them new.

The 2020 is soft and rounded with delicate structure, a charming village Burgundy to enjoy now or over the next few years.
